Constructed in 1908, the Cannon House Office Building is the oldest of the House of Representatives office buildings. Originally constructed as a four-story building, shortly after completion the Cannon Building was expanded by the addition of a fifth floor to accommodate the need for additional offices for House members.
The David M. Sindelar Cancer Center welcomed patients beginning August 2020. Containing approximately 70,000 square feet, this new hospital will serve individuals and families throughout the region.
This project’s scope includes several phases of demolition and construction within an active airline terminal. Careful not to impact unrelated airport activities, the work consisted of improvements supporting baggage handling and inspections, a new gate and hold room, interior renovations, and the replacement and expansion of the terminal’s chiller systems.
Constructed at the center of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s campus, this project replaced an aging Academic Services building, and represents the University’s commitment to education and innovation of Life Sciences and evidences the community’s respect for the surrounding campus and a thoughtful balance of a vibrant campus community and the natural world.
Billed as the largest infrastructure project in Kansas City’s history, this new terminal and parking garage is being constructed within the footprint of the recently demolished Terminal A. Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the terminal will feature 39 gates (expandable up to 60) within a 1,000,000 square foot structure, and over 6100 parking spaces in the adjoining garage.
This renovation of approximately 250,000 square feet included conversion of spaces previously utilized for patient care and associated laboratory services into modernized research laboratory spaces with support spaces and teaching facilities.
This adaptive reuse aptly dubbed City Ridge due to its topographically superior location, exemplifies placemaking at its finest. This urban mixed-use village is situated on a 10-acre campus which prominently features a 228,000 SF colonial style office previously the headquarters of Fannie Mae.
This prominent feature of the University of Baltimore campus was originally constructed in 1965, and dutifully served UB’s campus until 2016, when a long-overdue renovation began. The exterior of the Langsdale Library (as it was previously called) featured a ground floor of dark glass and the upper levels constructed with a brownish pebble facia.
The J. Kent McNew Family Medical Center is a stand-alone mental health facility catering to the needs of the community by offering outpatient and acute inpatient mental health services, as well as psychiatric day hospital and intensive outpatient treatment.
Situated atop a prominent plateau within the Smithsonian National Zoo, the Bird House was originally constructed in 1928, then expanded in 1936 thanks to funding provided by New Deal programs. Major renovations in the 1960s included interior and exterior modifications and the addition of the Great Flight Aviary.
This scope of this project includes the demolition of aging buildings at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) totaling 283,700 sf, a new 575,000 sf building, and renovation of 124,000 sf of interior renovations.
